B: Mi tre ĝojas konatiĝi kun vi.

A: Same mi. 

B: Ĉu mi povus danci kun vi?

A: Crete.

B: Ho, vi dancas tre bone!  

A: Ĉu vere? 

B: Mi diris la veron. 

A: Dankon. 

B: Ĉu vi ofte dancas? 

A: Ne ofte. Mi dancas nur en semajnfino kaj en festo. 

B: Kiam vi komencis lerni Esperanton? 

A: En 2001, kiam mi estis mezlernejano. Kaj vi? 

B: Mi ankoraŭ estas komencanto. 

A: Nu, vi jam bone parolas. 

B: Dankon pro via laŭdo. Ĉu vi volus trinki ion?  

A: Jes. 

B: Do ni iru al la bufedejo. 

A2: This is Miss Ma, and this is Mr. Lin.

B: Very nice to meet you.

A: Me, too.

B: Can I dance with you?

A: Certainly.

B: Oh, you dance very well.

A: Really?

B: I told the truth.

A: Thank you.

B: Do you often dance?

A: Not often. I dance only on weekends and on festivals.

B: When did you start to learn Esperanto?

A: In 2001, when I was a middle school student. And you?

B: I am still a beginner.

A: But you have spoken well already.

B: Thanks for your praise. Would you like something to drink?

A: Yes.

B: Then let’s go to the bar.

Du amikoj vizitis la bestĝardenon. 

Unu montris leonon kaj demandis: “Kion dirus ĉi tiu tigro, se ĝi povus paroli?” Lia amiko respondis: “Antaŭ ĉio ĝi dirus, ke ĝi ne estas tigro, sed leono. ”

Two friends visited the zoo.

One pointed to the lion and asked: “If this tiger could speak, what would it say?”

His friend answered: “First of all it would say that it is not a tiger but a lion.”

Provinca stacidomo. La trajno malfruas. 

“Terure! La trajno malfruas pli ol 20 minutojn. Mi ne komprenas, kial ekzistas la horaro!? ”

“Sed se ne ekzistus la horaro, kiel vi scius, ke la trajno malfruas?”

At the province railway station. The train is late.

“Terrible! The train is late more than 20 minutes. I don’t understand why the schedule exists?”

“If the schedule did not exist, how would you know the train is late?”
